NH Man Adrian Bunker Killed During Thursday ME Police-Involved “Armed Confrontation”

OLD TOWN, ME. (THECOUNT) — Adrian Bunker, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, has been identified as the suspect shot and killed by an Old Town, Maine, police officer during a traffic stop Thursday.

Bunker, 37, was killed by Old Town officer, Joseph Decoteau, early Thursday morning following an “armed confrontation” during a traffic stop in the 800 block of Stillwater Avenue, in Old Town, Maine.

Decoteau is on paid administrative leave pending a review by the department, according to police.

Officer Joseph Decoteau ordered Adrian Bunker, 37, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, to pull over his gray Silverado pickup truck around 3:20 a.m. According to the police department, the “armed confrontation” that ensued resulted in Bunker’s death. source

During a news conference Thursday afternoon at the Old Town Police Department, Wilcox did not say why Decoteau initially pulled over Bunker’s vehicle, and he did not offer further details about the incident.
