ARLINGTON, TX. (THECOUNT) — Dylan Draper has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed after stepping into traffic early Thanksgiving morning on Interstate 20 in Arlington, TX, police say.
Draper, 20, was confirmed Friday as the pedestrian killed in the collision, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.
Draper was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead shortly after 12:30 a.m., of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision, according to authorities.
The incident happened shortly after midnight in the 400 block of I-20, police say. Draper walked across the eastbound lanes of the freeway and was struck by a car in the left lane. source
Police say there were two people in the car that hit Draper. Neither was injured, and they are cooperating with the investigation.
No charges are expected to be filed in the incident and nobody was cited at the scene.
