BULLITT COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Edward Lee Alcorn, of Hillview, Kentucky, has been identified as the suspect arrested over the alleged murder of his unnamed half-brother.
AKA, Edward Alcorn Jr., 48, was arrested and charged with the Louisville murder of his half-brother who has not been identified, according to the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say they responded to a residence around 7:15 a.m. on calls of a deceased person in a home in the 100 block of Majestic Boulevard, in Louisville, Bullitt County, KY, Saturday morning.
Upon arrival, officers heard gunfire from inside the home and determined there was some sort of altercation occurring.
When officers gained entry to the home, they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim has not yet been identified.
Police made contact with Alcorn were he was detained, questioned and arrested.
Officials said 48-year-old Edward Lee Alcorn was arrested and charged with murder. The other individual was released, according to police at the scene. source
Alcorn is the half brother of the man who was killed, and told police he thought there was an intruder in his home, authorities said.
Alcorn is being held in the Bullitt County Detention Center on a $1 million cash bond.
