OR Man Christopher Meyn ID’d As Victim In Sunday Fatal Damascus Hwy 212 Crash

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Meyn, from Lake Oswego, Oregon, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash in Damascus, Oregon, Sunday.

Meyn, 49, was operating a vehicle when he collided with a big rig while traveling on OR-212 and SE Sunnyside Rd, in Damascus, OR, around 7:55 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Meyn was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.

Oregon State Police said the crash investigation revealed that Meyn was eastbound in a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban when for unknown reasons crossed into the westbound lanes and into the path of a Peterbilt dump truck. source

Three juvenile Suburban passengers were transported to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not provided.

The semi driver, Richard Albrecht, 59, from Gresham, OR, was treated for minor injuries.

No charges are pending in the crash, however, the investigation is ongoing, according to officials.
