MAYFAIR, PA. (THECOUNT) — Orlando Martinez has been identified as the Westville, New Jersey, realtor found suffering from at least one gunshot wound inside a vehicle outside a home he was showing to an alleged prospective client.
Martinez, 54, may have been injured inside the vehicle for a full day before he was located parked outside a residence in the 4500 block of Oakmont Street around 11 a.m. Wednesday, Philadelphia police said. The home displayed a “for sale,” sign in the front yard.
Martinez’s car was parked outside of a home for sale that he was showing to prospective buyers. Martinez was barely clinging to life when he was found, police say. He was rushed to the hospital but died a short time later. source
Martinez’ family reportedly became concerned when he didn’t come home Tuesday night.
Investigators say they believe Martinez was shot inside the car by “someone he knew,” as robbery did not appear to be the motive.
Martinez has no criminal record, police say.
