LEXINGTON, NC. (THECOUNT) — Judeh Shade McPherson has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed in Lexington, NC, Sunday night.
McPherson, 33, was named as the Lexington pedestrian killed after being hit by a car on Sunday, according to a Lexington police press release.
The victim was reportedly walking in a southbound lane of Cotton Grove Road, in Lexington, NC, when she was struck by a man driving a 2001 Saturn L300 at about 7:30 p.m., police said.
McPherson was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
Police said McPherson had serious, potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where she died. Lexington firefighters, Davidson County emergency responders and the Davidson County Rescue Squad assisted Lexington police in the case. source
There is no word on any possible charges against the uninjured driver.
Neither the driver or the victim was impaired, according to police.
