MATTHEWS, NC. (THECOUNT) — Jatwan Cuffie, 16, has been named as the suspect in a shooting that killed a fellow teenager and Butler High School student, Bobby McKeithen, in Matthews, NC, on Monday.
McKeithen, 16, died of injuries suffered in a shooting after being rushed to an area hospital with at least one gunshot wound Monday morning, according to Matthews police.
Matthews police confirmed the lockdown at Butler High School in Matthews was lifted after one student was shot Monday morning.
Officials said the victim, identified at 16-year-old Bobby McKeithen, was rushed to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. source
Cuffie was taken into custody.
