MIAMI, FL. (THECOUNT) — Robert Wayne Gore, 28, has been identified as the homeless man who was arrested on Wednesday, October 24 after police claim he killed 23-year-old University of Miami student Yasser Talal Ibrahim Abualfaraj in Coral Gables, Florida, earlier this month.
According to Alvaro Zabaleta, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, Gore, 28, allegedly stabbed 23-year-old Yasser Talal Ibrahim Abualfaraj to death on October 7. The Miami-Dade Police Department arrested Gore on October 7 in the area of SW 200th St & S Dixie Hwy, in Cutler Bay, FL.
Police believe that Gore entered Abualfaraj’s apartment and grabbed several sharp weapons and stabbed Abualfaraj over 60 times while he was sleeping.
Gore — who has a long list of prior convictions, including burglary and drug possession — has been charged with first-degree murder and armed burglary. He reportedly confessed to the incident to investigators. source
According to the Miami Herald, police sources said DNA found inside Abualaraj’s apartment matched that of Gore, who randomly broke into the apartment in “an effort to find money or drugs.”
