CHEROKEE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Maurice Eugene Clements has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed Friday night in Cherokee County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Clements, 54, was named as the pedestrian hit by a vehicle, driven by a 54-year-old woman who was driving east on Hampshire Drive just before 7:30 p.m. in Gaffney, NC.
A 54-year-old woman was driving east on Hampshire Drive and hit the pedestrian, who was walking east on the road, troopers said.
Clements was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler identified the pedestrian as 54 year old Maurice Eugene Clements. source
No charges have been filed.
