GREENVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — South Carolina high school student, Jacey Romano, has been identified as the female arrested after bringing a knife to school on Tuesday.
Romano, 18, was arrested Tuesday for carrying a weapon on school property at West Greenville School, which she claimed she used to snort cocaine off of, Greenville police said.
Police said Romano had a pocket knife with her when she got off the bus to go into school. Romano was asked by school staff why she had the knife, and she said she snorted cocaine off it. Romano said she snorted eight lines of cocaine before school and said her heart was racing. source
Police said the weapon was detected during routine metal detection searches that are performed by school personnel.
It was unclear if the student will be drug tested over the incident.
