EWING, NE. (THECOUNT) — Emerson Schmaderer, of O’Neill, NE, has been identified as the young man killed in a crash Saturday.
Schmaderer, 23, died after a pickup truck he was operating, for unknown reasons, crossed center lines and struck a semi-trailer head-on on U.S. 275 around 5 a.m. in northern Nebraska Saturday.
The Nebraska State Patrol confirmed the westbound pickup crossed the centerline into the path of the 18-wheeler.
The pickup driver was identified as 23-year-old Emerson Schmaderer, who lived in O’Neill. The semitrailer driver was identified as 65-year-old August Waterman, of O’Neill. Authorities say he wasn’t injured. source
