MEMPHIS, TN. (THECOUNT) — About 400 guns stolen from a UPS facility in Memphis, Tennessee, were recovered Tuesday in a Chicago suburb, say ATF officials.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said most of the hundreds guns taken from a United Parcel Service facility in Memphis were located in Midlothian, a Chicago. Midlothian is a village in Cook County in the state of Illinois. It is a southeastern suburb of Chicago
ATF had said two men in a U-Haul truck took the guns Sunday. Agency spokesman Michael Knight said the truck was recovered along with the guns. source
An 18-year-old male suspect was taken in custody and charged in firearm theft.
Authorities are searching for the second suspect in addition to anyone else who may have been involved, Knight said.
