TINICUM TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Hox has been identified as the suspect in a grisly shooting that killed a 77-year-old man and injured a woman. The victims were later identified as the suspect’s parents.
When officers arrived on the scene they found Henry Hox, 77, and Donna Hox, 62, suffering from gunshot wounds at a residence in the 400 block of Iroquois Street, in Tinicum Township.
Henry Hox later succumbed to his injuries, and Donna was taken to the hospital where she is reportedly cooperating with police.
Hox, 31, taken into custody after authorities conducted a brief manhunt. Officials say he shot both of his parents inside their home, killing his father. He reportedly left the gun behind. source
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an argument or disagreement occurring prior to the deadly shooting.
Matt Hox was taken into custody early Friday morning, not far from the home.
