MONTVILLE, CT. (THECOUNT) — Judd Moyer, of Oakdale, CT, has been identified as the victim killed in a Friday night vehicle crash that ended at the Turnpike Café in Montville.
Moyer, 48, crashed his vehicle after fleeing from a parking lot collision, located at, 1048 Norwich-New London Turnpike, in Uncasville, CT, earlier in the evening, police said.
State police said Judd Moyer, with a P.O. Box listed in Oakdale, was seen colliding into a parked vehicle in the lot of the Turnpike Café off Norwich-New London Turnpike in Uncasville Friday night and fled the scene in a 1993 Geo Prism, according to a police incident report. source
At approximately 9:30 p.m., Moyer was traveling west on Raymond Hill Road in Montville with police in pursuit when the vehicle overturned in a ditch and struck a tree, police said.
Police said Moyer suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy on Moyer and the case remains under investigation.
