OH Man Raymond Roberts Arrested After Stabbing Springfield Wife In Neck

CLARK COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — According to an affidavit, hospital officials described to deputies the condition of, Jessica Roberts, the Springfield woman stabbed in the neck, as “not good,” and “she would most likely be in the hospital for several weeks.”

Raymond Roberts, the suspect accused of stabbing his wife and then fleeing the area, was arrested Saturday morning by Ohio State Highway Patrol near State Route 72 and Possum Road after a short pursuit, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

Shortly after the stabbing, deputies were searching for a white Dodge Challenger, which was found about 8 a.m. in the parking lot of the Enon Eagles on Lower Valley Pike.

Deputies said, Ray Roberts took the Ford Focus from his parents house on Lower Valley Pike after he told them “he was in trouble and had to leave,” records show.source

Ray Roberts was taken into custody at approximately 9:15 a.m.

Jessica took to Facebook hours ago, to ask for help obtaining a vehicle:

“I may need some help with something… I may need to barrow [sic] a car until I figure out what going on the these. I don’t want either one of the cars we had.”

Ray Roberts made a curious Facebook post one day before he would be accused of assaulting his wife with a kitchen knife:

“Well it’s that time Time to get rid of Facebook I will be deleting it at 10:30”

He did not follow through with his threat to shutter his Facebook page as it still remains active as of the time of this writing.
