SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (THECOUNT) — Weeks after losing his estranged wife, Deven Davis, to a suspected overdose, KoRn singer, Jonathan Davis, returned to the stage, but not before breaking down in front of a packed crowd during a recent San Francisco concert.
Davis, 47, and his bandmates were celebrating the 20th anniversary of KoRn’s breakthrough album Follow The Leader, when the frontman stopped mid-song, and tearful announced to the audience, “this was my wife’s favorite song.”
And the waterworks didn’t stop there. MetalInjection is reporting, Davis broke down the next night at the Hollywood Palladium.
The next night at the Hollywood Palladium, Davis could be seen giving guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer a long hug after closing their set with “My Gift To You.” source
Jonathan released a lengthy statement after his wife’s death, confirming that Deven suffered from mental illness for many years, and “her addiction was a side effect.” Jonathan added that he “loved her with all my being.”
