ELGIN, TX. (THECOUNT) — Ahmed Zaidan Khazaal, of Austin, has been identified as the victim in a fatal three-vehicle crash near Elgin, TX, Wednesday.
The fatal crash occurred near Hwy 290 & FM 696, Elgin, TX, after a 2014 Dodge Ram towing a flatbed trailer traveling at unsafe speeds due to weather westbound on Hwy 290 when it lost control and traveled into the eastbound lane, according to DPS.
The Dodge Ram crossed center lines and struck a Dodge Journey and a Lexus IS250, the Lexus driven by 32-year-old Khazaal.
Khazaal was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Lexus died at the scene. He has been identified as 32-year-old Ahmed Zaidan Khazaal, of Austin. source
The drivers of the other two vehicles were transported to local hospitals in stable condition, DPS said.
Further details were not immediately available.
