HANOVER COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Michael Stafford, of Aylett, VA, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday Hanover County crash.
Stafford, 22, was operating a Chevrolet hatchback vehicle, when for an unknown reason, crossed center lines and collided with a Toyota sport utility vehicle in the 6000 block of Pole Green Road, Mechanicsville, VA, shortly after 11 a.m.
The driver of the Toyota sport utility vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. source
Stafford was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
Investigators are still collecting information to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal crash.
