VENTURA, CA. (THECOUNT) — The body of Ventura woman, Kirra Drury, has been recovered more than three days after two boats collided and sank in the Colorado River, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday afternoon.
Drury, 24, was one of four people listed as missing following the head-on collision, which also injured nearly a dozen others, authorities said.
The bodies of two boaters were recovered in the past 36 hours; one person remains missing.
Drury’s mother has stated a GoFundMe to help with funeral costs.
On Saturday September 1st, there was a horrific boating accident. When the boats collided, the passengers were ejected. Several of the passengers were immediately rescued, while others are still missing. One of the missing is Kirra Drury, the daughter of Denise Olson Drury, sister of Kaley Drury. The search is still ongoing. This is undoubtedly every mother and sister’s worst nightmare.
