TUCSON, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Tucson, Arizona woman, Karen Snyder, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed while crossing a roadway Saturday night, according to police.

Snyder, 65, was traveling on foot crossing West Prince Road on Tucson’s west side when she was struck by a vehicle.

Tucson police responded to calls of a person down after colliding with a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found Snyder suffering from blunt force trauma injuries consistent with a vehicle collision.

Snyder was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. A short time later she passed away.

Police say Snyder was not in a crosswalk when she was hit and neither impairment or speed appear to be a factor. source

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No citations have been issued at this time, according to crash investigators.
