Lafayette County, WI. (THECOUNT) — Noah Garrett of Stoughton, WI, has been identified as the teen who shot and killed himself at a Lafayette County gun range.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office is releasing more details into the shooting death of Garrett, 19, that occurred before 3 p.m. Saturday at WDNR Yellowstone Lake Shooting Range, located in Darlington, WI.

It was determined that the young man died as a result of what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
When deputies and emergency services arrived, they found a man with a single gunshot wound. Crews attempted to save the man, but he died as a result of the gunshot wound. source
No further information is available at this time and the incident remains under further investigation.
Sheriff Gill said the name of the man is not being released at this time pending family notification and further details about the shooting are not available due to an ongoing investigation.
The Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Darlington Area EMS, Green County EMS, Darlington Police and Fire, UW Medflight and Lafayette County Coroner’s Office.
