INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (THECOUNT) — Brian Wickelhaus has been identified as the Indiana man found dead in his Marion County Jail cell Tuesday.
Wickelhaus, 43, was found unresponsive at 9:28 p.m. on July 31 inside his cell, he had been incarcerated at the Marion County Jail since his arrest on July 25, 2018.
The death investigation is being conducted by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the Marion County Forensic Services Agency, and the Marion County Coroner’s Office. An Internal Affairs investigation is being conducted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. source
Wickelhaus was Pronounced dead at the scene.
A cause of death was not provided by jail officials.
Wickelhaus was being held on charges of Battery (a Level 5 Felony) and Domestic Battery (a Level 6 Felony).
