AUBURN (THECOUNT) — Jessica Gallant, of New Gloucester, ME, has been identified as the body found floating in a lake known as The Basin, reported the Auburn Police Department.
Gallant, 34, was located early Sunday by fishermen near the shoreline of Basin Pond in Fayette.
The Auburn Police Department later identified the body as Gallant.
The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office says Gallant’s cause of death has not been determined. They are waiting on toxicology results, which could take up to four weeks. source
Auburn Police are investigating the circumstances of Gallant’s death with the assistance of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit.
No other details were immediately made available.
