VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. (THECOUNT) — Two Delaware men killed Friday after a semi-truck they were traveling in plunged off a Virginia Beach bridge have been identified as driver, Jervone Rakeem Hall and passenger, Christopher Fenner.
Rakeem, 32, and Fenner, 29, were named as the occupants of a tractor-trailer that exited the roadway and leapt off the side of a bridge in Virginia Beach after making contact with another vehicle during a rainstorm.
It was raining heavily when the semi-truck collided with a van. The collision caused the truck to crash off of the bridge and into the water below.
A release says Fenner’s body was pulled from the truck Saturday evening, while Hall’s body was found 8 miles (13 kilometers) off Fisherman’s Island on Sunday afternoon. Initial news reports had said authorities believed the body in the truck was Hall’s. source
All four passengers in the van were treated and released at the scene.
