THOMASVILLE, GA, (THECOUNT) — The body of Deanna Shirey, the GA woman reported missing 10 days ago, was located at the home of a man previously wanted by police on other charges.
Shirey’s body was located at the Thomas County home of Robert Carter II, after police received tips from concerned citizens in the area.
Police say they found a body hidden in a tall grassy area near the home. Carter has reportedly been at the location for a period of time.
The body was transported to the coroner’s office for an autopsy.

In the family’s search, Shirey’s son Rick Ramos posted fliers at many Thomasville stores. Officers conducted several ground and helicopter searches. GBI Special Agent Jamy Steinberg, the lead investigator, in this case, said they are using every tool, idea, and tip they receive to try and find Shirey. source
Shirey’s cause of death was not provided by officials and is pending an autopsy.
