CHATTANOOGA, TN. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Wichman, the former owner of the now closed Wichman Monuments in Chattanooga, was indicted on multiple felony theft charges Thursday.
Wichman, 33, is charged with seven counts of theft of property valued between $2,500 to $10,000, records show.
Wichman Monuments, a headstone manufacturer, was abruptly shuttered in March leaving some customers claiming they were left out in the cold when it came time to collecting their grave markers.
Officials have not said if the charges are related to the string of complaints from customers of Wichman Monuments, who claimed they never received the headstones they paid for after the company closed its doors in March of this year. source
Wichman was booked in the Hamilton County jail and released on bond, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office website.
