TAZEWELL, VA. (THECOUNT) — Brandon N. Patterson, of North Tazewell and Jeffrey A. Vance, of Cedar Bluff, have been named as the victims in a Sunday Tazewell County Route 631 two-vehicle crash.
Patterson, 20, and Vance, 32, were identified as the victims in a double-fatal two-vehicle accident on Route 631 near Route 607 in Tazewell County at around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
According to Virginia State Police, the crash occurred after Vance exited the roadway for an unknown reason, crossed center lines and struck a 2005 Nissan 350Z head-on.
The Nissan was driven by Patterson.
Both Vance and Patterson were pronounced dead at the scene.
An accident report noted that neither driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the violent collision.
Police say the crash remains under investigating. source
