BELLMEAD, TX. (THECOUNT) — The Bellmead Police Department reports they arrested Texas man, Philip Mercon, for allegedly sexually abusing a neighbor’s dog on Saturday.
Mercon, 27, has been charged with bestiality, criminal trespass and evading arrest in an incident that occurred in the 2000 block of Old Dallas Road.
Upon arrival, officers found Mercon engaged in relations with a K9 in a fenced area of the neighbor’s backyard. Officers yelled out to Mercon who then attempted to flee the scene. Officers were able to take him down and arrest him a short time later.
Police said the incident happened on the 2000 block of Old Dallas Road. They said that a witness on scene said he saw the suspect, 27-year-old Philip Mercon, sexually abusing a dog. source
Police notified the dog’s owners who later stated the animal did not appear to be harmed during the act.
The case remains under investigation.
