MACK, CO. (THECOUNT)– A 30-year-old man attending Country Jam reportedly suffered a self-inflicted gunshot would Friday evening.
The unidentified man was transported to an area hospital after EMS responded to reports of a male concertgoer suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound just before 6 p.m.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office says this is believed to be an accident, and that there is no active shooter situation. source
The sheriff’s office says they are interviewing people about the incident.
No information was released on how a weapon made it onto event grounds.
The man’s condition was not immediately released.
