Former St. Bernard Parish President, Dave Peralta, has been found dead at his residence.
Few details were released by the parish.
“Parish President Guy McInnis, the St. Bernard Parish Council and Parish Government employees would like to send their condolences to his family and friends,” officials said in a statement. source
In April 2014, Peralta was indicted on a charge of sexual battery of his wife, who accused him of previously raping her at their Meraux home.
Peralta was elected to his parish in 2011.
