SOUTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. (THECOUNT) – The body of Dylan Knopsnider was found on Sunday after going missing Tuesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The body of the 20-year-old was located by searchers in the area of Jacobs Creek near Creek Falls in Westmoreland County, the same area he was reported falling in the creek while visiting the popular spot with his girlfriend Tuesday.
Cadaver dogs aided in the recovery of his body.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
WPXI is reporting, Knopsnider’s family and friends are expressing frustration over a mix-up that cost precious hours and maybe even days in locating the young man:
“I want my son, it’s been three days,” said Stephanie Litton, Knopsider’s mother. “He means a lot to us and regardless how we get him, we want him back.” source
Knopsider was with a pair of friends at the swimming hole located in Westmoreland County when the now fatal incident occurred. Tuesday was the last time he was seen alive.
According to Facebook, Knopsnider was a former student and Falcons football player at Connellsville Area High School.
