LAURENS, SC. (THECOUNT) — The Laurens County, SC., woman killed in 2-vehicle a crash on SC-39 has been identified, according to the Laurens County coroner.
Brittney Bird, 31, was named as the victim in a fatal crash that occurred at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
The crash happened on Saturday around 1:30 a.m. when a driver crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car, state troopers said. source
Bird was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, who was not identified, was airlifted to an area hospital, troopers said.
The extent of the other driver’s injuries were not made available.
No charges have been filed.
The crash is under investigation.
