South Carolina Troopers have named Jakob Hamby as the person killed in an accident that also injured three others in Easley Sunday.
Hamby, 24, was traveling with a passenger on a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle in Pickens County Sunday evening. Hamby and his passenger were transported to an area hospital where Hamby was later pronounced dead. The passenger suffered unknown injuries.
The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on N Fishtrap Rd., near Night Dr., in Easley, SC.
The driver of the SUV, a 51-year-old from Townville, and two passengers, ages 71 and 46, were taken to the hospital with injuries. source
Troopers said Hamby was trying to maneuver around another vehicle when he was struck by a Toyota SUV heading the opposite direction.
Police said no charges are expected to be filed in the crash.
