A robbery is believed to have led to a shooting that killed Pam Crumpton Hooks and injured another in Greensboro Friday night, according to a Greensboro police press release.
Hooks, 34, was woman found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound Friday night in a Greensboro residence, a Watch Operations Specialist for the Greensboro Police Department said in a press release.
Another person was also found shot and critically injured at the scene.
Hooks was discovered shot after officers arrived to the home located at, 716 Hidden Lake Court, Greensboro, NC., according to Greensboro police. Another victim, whose name was withheld by police, was also found injured inside the residence.
Officers were called to a home on Hidden Lake Court shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday where both victims were found with apparent gunshot wounds. source
Pamela Crumpton Hooks was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead as a result of her injuries, Greensboro police said in the release.
The other victim is in critical condition and is still being treated, according to police.
This incident is being investigated as a homicide, according to the release. There is no suspect information at this time.
