PopSugar is reporting, Prince Harry left an empty seat to honor his mother, Princess Diana.
Princess Diana may not have been able to witness Prince Harry tie the knot with Meghan Markle on Saturday, but something tells us she was there in spirit. Not only did Harry and Meghan follow in her footsteps by making a slight tweak to their wedding vows, but Harry also honored his late mom by leaving an empty seat open next to Prince William during the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel. How sweet is that?
Diana’s sister Lady Jane Fellowes also gave a special reading from the Song of Solomon during the ceremony. In a previous statement from Kensington Palace, Harry and Meghan said they felt honored that Lady Jane would be “representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day.”
