Brandon Garcia ID’d As TX Teen Killed While Crossing San Antonio Medina Base Road Monday Night

Brandon Garcia has been identified as the 17-year-old boy struck and killed while crossing a San Antonio roadway Monday night.

Garcia, 17, was crossing Medina Base Rd when he suddenly doubled back and was hit by a passing SUV. He was reportedly dragged several feet during the incident which has been deemed an accident.

Garcia was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

According to police, Brandon Garcia was crossing Medina Base Road when he decided to turn around and cross back. A white Jeep Cherokee hit him and dragged him several feet. Garcia was taken to University Hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries. source

The driver of the SUV pulled over after striking Garcia and was found to not be at fault and will not be facing charges, said investigators.
