Cody Harter has been identified as the U.S. Air Force reservist stabbed to death following a road rage incident on I-470 in Lee’s Summit, MO. The driver who allegedly killed him has not been apprehended, Missouri police said.
Harter, 24, was traveling in a Chevy truck on Interstate 470 and MO-291 at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he exchanged words with another driver. Both drivers allegedly pulled over to a median.
Witnesses say they observed an altercation between two men.
The dispute escalated and the unidentified motorist allegedly stabbed Harter before fleeing in his vehicle north on I-471, police said. source
Authorities did not say if witnesses provided descriptions of him or the vehicle he was driving.
A death investigation is underway.
