NJ School Superintendent Arrested Over Repeatedly Defecating At High School Track

Thomas Tramaglini, the superintendent of the New Jersey Kenilworth School District, has been identified as the “mystery pooper” who left daily unwanted messes next to a New Jersey high school track.

Tramaglini, 42, was caught in the act during one of the stakeouts conducted by Holmdel High School officials who had put out a BOLO for someone leaving feces on the track and football field “on a daily basis.”

The superintendent, of Matawan, NJ., was charged with lewdness, littering and defecating in public Thursday after police and school district officials set up surveillance to find out who had been defecating near Holmdel High School’s football field and track.

“Given the nature of those charges, he asked for and was granted a paid leave of absence. (Leaves can only be without pay in the face of indictments or tenure charges, as a matter of state law.),” the district said in the post. source

Police said that Tramaglini was running at the time fo his arrest. NJ.com, which first reported the arrest, school employees were monitoring the track before 6 a.m. when they spotted Tramaglini.

Police would not say whether Tramaglini was suspected in the other fecal finds at the track or how long employees had been staking out the field for the mystery pooper.
