Chief Goree Anderson with the Harris County Precinct 7 Constable’s Office passed away on Tuesday.
According to deputies, Anderson was at work Monday when he became ill. He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Chief Anderson was a law enforcement veteran for nearly 40 years.
Anderson passed away at the hospital Tuesday morning, deputies said. It’s unclear if Anderson had any prior health issues and his cause of death has not been released. He’s been an integral member of Constable May Walker’s Command Staff since she was sworn in in January 2005, deputies said. source
