A San Diego man is recovering after being stabbed in the neck while sitting on a bench at Balboa Park.
Police say they are investigating after a man was randomly stabbed while visiting Balboa Park early Sunday morning.
The stabbing happened on the 2000 block of Park Boulevard at 12:26 a.m. Police reported that the suspect walked up to the 29-year-old victim and asked him for a cigarette. After telling the suspect he didn’t have one, the victim was stabbed in the neck, according to police. source
The wound was non-life threatening and the victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police say.
