Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office have named Jhkeya Tezeno, as the woman arrested for trying to shoot a man at a traffic intersection.
Tezeno, 25, of Rayne, Louisiana, was charged with attempted second degree murder in a shooting incident just before 3 p.m. on Saturday a North Riceland Road and E. Texas Ave., aka, Highway 90.
According to the complaint, the unnamed victim, who is apparently involved with Tezeno, was attempting to visit his children when an argument erupted between the victim and Tezeno.
The victim departed the scene of the confrontation in his vehicle to avoid escalation, the report said.
Tezeno followed the victim in her vehicle to the intersection, exited her vehicle and opened fired on him.
None of the bullets struck the victim, authorities noted.
An arrest warrant was issued for Tezeno for one count of attempted second degree Murder. She arrested early Sunday morning.
The suspect was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on a $50,000 bond.
