Carlos Calderon has been named as the El Paso man shot and killed in an apartment complex during a drug deal gone bad in the Lower Valley. He was 25.
19-year-old Ashley Galloway and 18-year-old Jerrica Arredondo of El Paso, are both facing capital murder charges in connection to the death of Calderon.
Calderon was found with gunshot wounds on the stairs of an apartment complex at 8507 Alameda Avenue Saturday around 1:30 p.m., said police.
Investigators say they believe Calderon was shot during a drug deal gone bad.
The investigation revealed Galloway and Arredondo collaborated to setup a drug deal with Calderon and rob him, said police.
Calderon was shot dead during the transaction.
Galloway and Arredondo were found a short distance away by police.
The two were taken into custody and charged and booked into the El Paso County Jail. source
