NYC Whole Foods Knife-Wielding Shoplifter Shot By Police Inside Harlem Store

A 28-year-old knife-wielding man was shot by NYPD while inside a Harlem Whole Foods store Saturday evening. No one else was injured in the shooting.

The man, who is said to have an extensive criminal history, was suspected of shoplifting when police were called in. Upon arrival the man brandished a knife and advanced toward officers. He was shot in the shoulder.

An officer shot the man at least once in the torso. The man was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition. His name was not immediately released.” source
