Paper Source Employee Shot Dead By Ex-Husband At Thousand Oaks Shopping Center

A fatal incident unfolded at about 2:15 p.m. at Southern California boutique, Paper Source, in the outdoor portion of The Oaks Shopping Center located at 350 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.

A woman died at the scene and her ex-husband was injured in what appears to be a murder and attempted suicide at the posh Thousand Oaks SoCal mall.

The unnamed couple were divorced and have two children, authorities said Saturday. The woman, who died at the scene is a 30-yr-old Thousand Oaks resident. The man is a 33-yr-old Los Angeles area resident

Ventura County Sheriff’s officials said the woman was apparently fatally shot by her ex-husband who then shot himself in the head. The woman worked at the store, Sgt. Eric Buschow said in a tweet. source

Authorities were not looking for additional suspects in the incident, and did not elaborate on what led up to the shooting.

The injured man was taken to a hospital by the Ventura County Fire Department. His condition is unknown.
