A massive search for a missing police officer in Hickman, Kentucky has ended tragically with the discovery of his body in a flooded field.
The officer allegedly went missing in a flooded field on Bernal Avenue in Hickman, KY. Officials believe he may have been swept away by flood waters.
Officials have not identified the missing officer, but Kentucky State Police confirmed that he worked for the Hickman Police Department. source
Kentucky State Police, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Kentucky Division of Emergency Management are searching a flooded area on Bernal Avenue.
A search and rescue crew of 12 to 15 people has been searching throughout the night and into morning.
