Rapper Chris Polk Shot Dead After Performance May Have Been Involved In 22 Savage Chain Theft

Rapper Chris Polk was shot and killed this morning as he left a concert at a northwest side club, Police told reporters.

Polk had just completed a performance at the club on Loop 410 and East Piedras, which is just west of Babcock Rd, as the club was closing at 2AM.

People who were at the club praised the rappers performance, saying it was well received.

The man walked out to the parking lot, got into his car, and started driving east on 410.

At that point, a silver car came up from behind him. Somebody in that car fired several shots into the victims car. The victims car drove off the highway, while the car containing the gunman sped east on 410, and then westbound on I-10.

The rapper was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation forced the complete closure of eastbound Loop 410 all the way to Callaghan. Police don’t know if the gunman had been at the mans performance, or whether the killer was waiting for him, knowing he would leave the club at closing time. Detectives say nobody threatened the victim at the club. source
