A San Antonio homeowner who had his Christmas decor ripped off from his front lawn is now fighting back by filling the missing spaces with a massive display featuring none other than the suspected thief.

Ken Lamkin says he’s “getting back” at the Grinch who stole his Christmas after discovering key components of his Christmas display pilfered from the front lawn of his southwest Texas home.

Lamkin says the man was caught on camera stealing a 16-foot animated inflatable and a fog machine.

Lucky for Lamkin his trusty security system captured the crook in the commission of the crime at around 3 a.m. on Christmas Eve.

It was the next day, Christmas day, one of the remaining light bulbs went off over Lamkin’s head.

“We ran over and made some pictures and mounted them on some cardboard, and this is what you have: our new Grinch-themed Christmas,” he said.

“It doesn’t only show that we know who you are, but it is also to show that you can’t take our Christmas,” Lamkin said.

The crafty display comes complete a loop of the thief carrying out his dirty deed projected on a screen in the front yard.

“We are going to sit down here and hold hands, and we are going to sing and enjoy Christmas,” Lamkin said. source

In the end, Lamkin says he hopes the thief grows a conscience and returns his family’s stuff.

“Maybe your heart can grow 10 sizes today-and you can go around and return the stuff you took.”

Lampkin says he plans to keep the mocking display up until the thief is apprehended or New Year’s day, whichever comes first.
