Officials in northern Iowa say a body found in Floyd County is that of Michael Johns, who went missing late last month. He was 28.
Department of Public Safety officials said Johns, of Grundy Center, was reported missing Oct. 25, but they didn’t elaborate on details surrounding the circumstances of his death.
The manner of death has been ruled a homicide, but the cause of death is unknown. Johns’ body was found Friday near 290th Street and Shadow Avenue in rural Floyd County, which is about 10 miles south of Charles City. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are continuing to investigate. source
