The woman struck and killed by an Amtrak train Tuesday morning in Florence has been identified as Debra Cox, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.
Cox, 49 of Florence, was struck at the intersection of Barringer and Pine Street by the train at approximately 11:40 a.m.. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Florence County Coroner’s Office and Florence Police Department are investigating the incident.
