Chad Ritchie has been named as the Front Royal, Virginia man arrested and charged with the murder of a 22-month-old toddler, authorities said in a release Thursday.
Ritchie, 28, is being held in jail without bond as authorities continue to investigate the fatal incident. He was charged with second degree murder and cruelty and injuries to children.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says they got a call on Wednesday that the baby was in cardiac arrest at 908 Blue Mountain Road. The child was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital but later died, officials say.
After an investigation, the sheriff’s office says they arrested Ritchie, who lived at that Blue Mountain Road address, and charged him with second degree murder and cruelty and injuries to children. source
